The Foundation Center

An independent nonprofit organization established by foundations in 1956, whose mission is to increase public understanding of the foundation field. The Center does this by maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date database on foundations and corporate giving programs, by producing directories, and by analyzing trends in foundation support of the nonprofit sector.
